Andrew Sgambati began beating
the skins at age 14. "I started out in the marching
band at my high school, just like Tommy Lee," Andrew
recalls. Unlike many of his peers, Andrew was drawn
to Theatrical Rock and Heavy Metal at a very early age.
" I believe that my first music memory was hearing
my older brother playing KISS Records while I was still
in my crib. By 1988 Andrew was a full-blown KISS freak.
He was hooked after his first viewing of KISS Meets
the Phantom of the Park. "All I wanted to do was
be KISS. I wanted to listen to them, perform like them
and dress like them. "I was hooked on Rock and
Roll!"
When it comes to recreating the original sound, look
and overall performance of Peter Criss Andrew Sgambati
is second to none. From his authentic Love Gun costume
complete with 7 inch platform boots to his 11 piece
vintage drum kit and Japanese Gong ... not to mention
his nearly identical resemblance to Peter Criss! At
only 22 years of age, Andrew has become the most ferocious
catman to lurk the stage in KISS Tribute History.
